Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, depending on the part of the world you’re in. This is Jonathan Satovsky of Satovsky Asset Management and on today’s episode of, “Seeking Wisdom, Wealth, and Wellness,” in honor of Women’s History Month, I want to talk about patience. There have been many studies on the idea that women have tended to be better long-term investors than men, predominantly because of patience.
Men, often in a desire—generally—to prove themselves, need to do something and are much more impulsive and trade more frequently—that’s what the evidence shows. So, in honor of Women’s History Month, we want to celebrate the idea of patience—the idea of patience and a perspective for multiple generations. Perhaps because women are thinking about their families for multiple generations forward beyond themselves and men have a tendency to think more toward themselves and their own self-worth day to day, week to week, month to month. Just a perspective, I know it’s controversial but it’s Women’s History Month, so I want to give a little shout out to the idea of patience, persistence, a process, and thinking multiple generations forward for your own path to Wisdom, Wealth, and Wellness.
Have a great day.
