Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, depending on the part of the world you’re in. This is Jonathan Satovsky of Satovsky Asset Management and on today’s edition of, “Seeking Wisdom, Wealth, and Wellness,” I wanted to pay tribute to Madeleine Albright who just passed away.
I heard her speak. She was the Secretary of State of The United States many years ago, and was a very profound female political leader. And I heard her speak a number of years ago and she was teaching a class, called “The Consequences of Political Action” where she would go about tackling a world problem and bring in the best minds at the time to get to a consensus to what they thought was an optimal solution.
And in reflecting upon her years of service, she suggested, “Maybe I should teach a class called ‘The Unintended Consequences of Political Action,'” because when all the experts got together and they agreed, “This is the best solution,” several years after the fact they realized that the unintended consequence of their solution often created a problem exponentially worse than the problem they were fixing.
So pause and be mindful to understand how big a problem—is a problem—and whether you can work it out by staying the course diplomatically or a little bit more patiently with love and compassion; about humanitarian collective interest of the family, of the world, and perhaps time heals all.
Think about that on your path to Wisdom, Wealth, and Wellness.
Have a great day.
