This is Jonathan Satovsky, Halloween trick-or-treat-style, of “Seeking Wisdom, Wealth, and Wellness.” I want to talk about the concept, cash is king. A concept many people get attached to when we get into spooky markets. Well, let me give you the stats for those that are interested.
Cash has been the best performing asset 11% of the time, going back to the 20s. So, as long as you hold enough cash for spooky times and scary markets, and headlines that get people freaked out, then you can think multi-generationally, because if you’re thinking out 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 25, 35, 50 years out for multiple generations, owning assets, stocks, bonds, real estate, almost assuredly, overtime will generate greater wealth. But you got to have enough cash to manage through the spooky times and then you’ll benefit greatly, 89% of the time, with having assets in other places. But more importantly, the magic of compounding. The simple magic of compounding will be able to work for you because you won’t get spooked out of your positions on your path to Wisdom, Wealth, and Wellness.
