Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Depending on the part of the world you’re in. This is Jonathan Satovsky of Satovsky Asset Management. And on this episode of “Seeking Wisdom, Wealth, and Wellness,” I want to talk about headwinds and persistency.
If you’re a sailor, sometimes the wind is with you, sometimes the wind is against you, sometimes there’s no wind at all. But you can’t stop sailing. You gotta keep going toward your destination, and you have to deal with the conditions that you have in front of you. So in investing, sometimes you got headwinds. Sometimes money supply is loose, sometimes money supply is tight. Sometimes interest rates are high, sometimes they’re low. There are a lot of external factors that change the environment.
That’s where persistence comes in.
If you’re disciplined and you can maintain persistent discipline around the factors that actually work over a long period of time, even though there’s going to be some waves, some winds, some bumps in the road—you got to brace, you got to calibrate, you’ve got to make sure that you make adjustments to be able to weather the storm. That being said, if you can keep your eyes on the horizon, good things will happen. So you got to calibrate to get through the storm and make sure you don’t drown. But keep your eyes focused on the horizon so that you can have a great and abundant journey through whatever weather comes your way, whatever season we’re in, on your path to Wisdom, Wealth, and Wellness.
Have a great day.
