Storytelling. Reading Yuval Harari’s book 21 Lessons for the 21st Century. And storytelling is what enables humans to create culture, to create community. In the investing world, it helps create themes. Many years ago, there were dot-coms. There were bricks. There was, you know, The Magnificent Seven. There’s a story that comes up that captures people’s attention. Money flows, cannibalizes AI cannibalizes people’s mindshare and money. And that being said. People have short attention spans. So I heard that story. I need a new story. Hence why we have. Started with newspapers and television journalism telling stories every night on the news or every morning when you read the paper to now we have stories told every second on social media platforms, whether it’s LinkedIn or Twitter X or Instagram. There’s a story that everyone’s telling every second that captures your attention. Of course, behavioral scientists now see which captures your attention the most and feeds you more of what’s going to keep you hooked on that attention so that you can keep your eyeballs locked on that.
So I’m going to unplug. And write my own story. Have a great day.
